Letter M

This week our letter of the week is M. M is a great letter for words like measure, make, mail, and marshmallows! We had fun constructing with some marshmallows and toothpicks!

Post Office Walking Field Trip

We have a field trip scheduled for the post office.  It is coming up very soon!  Please return the permission slips that will be sent home tomorrow ASAP!  Thank you!

Library Visit

We continue to enjoy monthly visits from Mr. Z and Ms. Ariel from the Boone Ericson Public Library.  They always invite us to check out the latest events going on at the library.  There are a number of resources available for check out - other than books!  These include puzzles, puppets, games, and CDs.  You can check out what's happening at our local library at this website:  http://www.boone.lib.ia.us/youthdepartment 

B is for Bubbles and Building

This week we're learning about letter B and beginning a unit on construction. :)

Bundled Up...

Please remember that if the windchill is above zero, we will most likely go outside and play.  The students will always be able to play with some equipment on the parking lot that is cleared of snow, but what is REALLY fun is playing IN the snow!  If possible, please remember to send all your child's snow gear with him/her on snow-covered winter days! Then he/she will have the option of climbing the snow mountains and exploring the snow-covered playground!  :)  

 

Puppet Show

Students made stick puppets to re-tell the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff.

Animal Crackers

We enjoyed some animal crackers today for Prek snack. The students enjoyed playing with the animals we're learning about as much as they enjoyed eating them! :)

Classroom Gifts

Thank you to those who blessed our classroom with special class wish tree gifts! The students are really enjoying them!
