Worms!

Digging for worms has become the favorite "outdoor center" the past couple of weeks.  We have quite the worm colony going on in a large pickle jar.  This may call for a fishing trip...

 Our letter  this week is Ii.  We made some "inch worms" to practice the sound of letter /i/ and also to study the unique movement of the inch worm. 

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

In honor of St. Patrick's Day we learned some about the real St. Patrick who was a Christian missionary to Ireland.  We also watched a video of Irish step dancing!  This went along well with our current unit on movement.  Here is a short video of the students trying out some of the Irish dance steps.  If you would like to learn more about St. Patrick, you can read some about him here:  http://www.history.com/topics/who-was-saint-patrick

Meet Jelly!

Maybe you've heard about Jelly?  He's a special puppet who visits every once in a while and helps us learn more about our Bible lesson for the week.  I thought some of you may be curious, so here he is! 

Puppets are a fun way for the students to act out stories, interact with each other, play, and learn.  They remain a popular center in our classroom!
